Early Life:
Alexander Hamilton was born on Charlestown, the capital of Nevis in theWest Indies Islands. He was educated in the 13 colonies. People don’t really know if he was born on 1755 or 1757 therefore they don’t really know his age. He said that his birth date was on 1757 whenhe arrived at the 13 colonies. He was 13 when his mother died. His mother was unhappily married to Johann Michael Lavien of St. Croix. She left him and her 1st son in the year 1759. She metAlexander’s father when she left. Alexander had a brother named James Jr. Because Alexander’s parents were not married legally, the Church of England denied him membership or education in the church school.Education:
Alexander arrived at a grammar school in Elizabethtown, New Jersey in 1772. He studied with Francis Barber at Elizabethtown in preparation for college. He applied for the College of NewJersey. (Princeton University) but he decided to attend King’s College in New York City (Colombia University) because he was refused at College of New Jersey.

Adult life:
