MULTIMEDIA EDUCATION

Within the group of multimedia materials, which integrate various textual elements (sequential and hypertext) and visual (graphics, sound, video, animations...), aremultimedia educational materials, multimedia materials that are used for a purpose education.

CLASSIFICATION OF MULTIMEDIA TEACHING MATERIALS

Depending on their structure, multimedia learning materialscan be classified into programs tutorials, exercises, simulations, databases, developers, software tools ..., presenting various views on learning and allowing in some cases (open programs,languages author) the modification of its content and creating new learning activities by teachers and students. In more detail, the classification is as follows:

- Training materials management. In generalbehavioral approaches are followed. Provide information, pose questions and exercises for students and correct their answers.
- Programs of training. They simply propose corrective strengtheningexercises self without providing pre-conceptual explanations. Its structure can be: linear (the sequence in which activities are unique or completely random), branched (the sequence depends on the successesof users) or environment type (students provides search tools and process information to build the answer to questions from the program).
- Programs tutorials. They have a self-contained and proposecorrective exercises about it. If using AI techniques to customize the tutoring according to the characteristics of each student tutorials are called experts.
- Databases. Present data organized ina static environment with some criteria that facilitate exploration and targeted consultation to solve problems, analyze and correlate data, testing hypotheses, drawing conclusions ... By using themyou can ask questions like: What makes this information? What is the evidence with the characteristic X? And with features X and Y?

- Programs such book or story. Presents a narrative or...
