Introducción
En este trabajo, se darán a conocer las principales características de los mapuches, tales como: la vida en sus rucas, su lengua (mapudungun), costumbres, religión,etc.

COSTUMBRES MAPUCHES
Las mujeres cumplían un rol muy importante en la cultura mapuche, pues, ellas eran las encargadas de realizar las labores domesticas, cuidar a los niños y el ganado, tejer en sus ratos libres, hacer cantaros, hacer huerta, en fin un montón de actividades.
Religión Mapuche
Las creencias religiosas del pueblo mapuche permanecieron desconocidas y desfiguradas hasta lapublicación de valiosísimos trabajos de investigación en fechas recientes. En gran medida esta ignorancia puede atribuirse al carácter especialmente endurecido de los conquistadores y a su dificultad de comprender las sutilezas del pensamiento indígena, y, en tiempos posteriores a la independencia.
