My dog Lassie

When I was a child, I used to hang out almost all the time by myself because I didn’t had any brothers and my neighbor friends weren’t all the day with me, but that changed when Ifound the dog who was about to change my life, or maybe… he found us?
I remember the day I found him, it was February, a Friday, and my mom has just picked up me from elementary school, I was just10 years old and very excited to enjoy my weekend.
We were in “L. Montejano st.” (a main street in Mexicali) when I saw a the cutest dog ever, smelling a tree next to a house, I begged my mom totake it with us and after many times, she agreed. I picked the puppy up in the car and we went to my aunt Lety’s house. I realized that he was kind of scared because he stared at me all the way, andwhen I tried to hug him he barked me.
My homework for that weekend was spending time with this new little puppy and we get along in a short period of time.
Besides my other dog Lulu, who when shewas a puppy, she bite my shoes, or my bunny that spread its poop all over the house and broke my two super Nintendo videogames, or my two turtles that tried to escape of their fishbowl almost everyday (they were very smart and tricky), my mom never complained about Lassie. Everyone loved it, including my girlfriend and friends. I also remember the Halloween party that I used to had when I made acostume for Lassie, he was a Rockstar.
Because Lassie was very classy and had a shiny hair, I know it had an owner somewhere and I feared he will appear and take my dog away from me.
On a cloudyday, I was playing with Lassie and a complete family in a red car suddenly appeared and stopped two houses away from mine:
- “Ariel!” – A boy of my age yelled.
-“My baby!” - A little girl exclaimedeuphorically.
- “Ariel! C’mon boy! Let’s go home!” – The dad of the family said.
