Beijing National stadium

Beijing National Stadium (Chinese: 国家 体育场 / 国家 体育场, Guoji tǐyùchǎng) is the Olympic Stadium for the 2008 Games in Beijing, China.

It is commonly known as bird's nest,because the steel mesh exterior. Is covered by a transparent membrane. The stadium is 330 meters long, 220 m wide and 69 m in height. It is equipped with a solar energy system and rainwater collectionfor irrigation and cleaning.

 History
