The Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH) is a biannual manually generated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in the United States, designed to provide assistance toindividuals who are making decisions about their working lives. Updated every two years, the Handbook describes what practitioners do at work, working conditions, the number of workersand their remuneration, training and education required for the job and work projections in various occupations'. The OOH classifies jobs by occupation and industry. Describe indetail information on over 700 occupations in 10 categories which has 7 of every 8 jobs in the U.S. economy. * The BLS also makes projections for 262 industries in 10 divisions of theeconomy. The descriptions of occupations are organized into 7 parts. The first section describes the main features of the occupation and responsibilities of workers. The secondidentifies the time, the environment, physical activity and health hazards, the equipment required and the amount of time required to travel. The third section reports on the number ofpersons in employment and the key industries where jobs can be found, as well as their geographic area.
The fourth part describes the level of education, training, skills, abilities andpersonal characteristics required for the occupation. The fifth part describes the factors contributing to trends in occupations. The sixth describe them cash income and otherbenefits for workers. The seventh of occupations requiring mentioned responsibilities, skills, and a certain level of education. Finally, the OOH provides a list of sources to contact formore information about the occupation.

I could understand that there are more than 700 occupations in categories with 7 of every 8 jobs in the U.S. economy.
