ll.4 Never lose your style
In this activity, you will use vocabulary about fashion and clothes to talk about your favorite style.
1. Look at the pictures and explain what the people in them arewearing. Are they fashionable people?
maybe for my out of fashion because it is not my style but for many more people than if you like this kind of fashion dress if they are.
2. Whichclothing showed in the pictures above is more formal?

I f your boss invited you to a dinner meeting, would you wear a gold hip-hop sweat suit? If you did, and everyone else was wearing abusiness suit, what would your clothes say about you? Fashion is a form of communication. We use our clothes to send messages about who we are: I have a lot of money, I don´t want to be like you or I´m onyour side.
Fashion has been influenced by social movements and musical trends. Hippies in the 60´s were all for peace and love, and their clothes became synonymous with these ideals. Punks in the70´s wore clothes that expressed both rebellion and individuality. Goths in the 80´s were more introverted, and their clothes sent a melancholic message saying that they just wanted to be left alone.Nowadays people mix their styles much more –one day a hippie, the next day a punk- but the messages they send are still the same. It is just part of a revolutionary generation, with different ideas...
