1. pronombres
Los pronombres son palabras que usan para señalar o hacer referencia a otros términos que ya han sido nombrados en la oración o ya comprendidos por el hablante o eloyente.
Características
- Sustituyente de los sustantivos.
- Facilitan la expresión lingüística al evitar repetir los nombres.
- Concuerdan en género y número con el sustantivo al cual reemplazan.Ejemplos
- I am ill / yo estoy enfermo.
- She is pretty / ella es bonita.
- These are your seats / estos son sus asientos.
- Don't burn yourself! / No te quemes tu mismo!.
- They were speakingto themselves / ellos estaban hablandose a si mismos.
Pronombres posesivos:
Los pronombres posesivos en inglés son: mine, yours, his, hers, ours, yours, theirs. Indican posesión y soninvariables. Nunca van precedidos de un artículo.
Ejemplos:
Is this book yours? / ¿es tuyo este libro?
This belongs to me. It´s mine / esto me pertenece. Es mio.
It´s their problem, no ours / es suproblema, no el nuestro.
This belongs to john, It´s his / esto pertenece a john, es de él.
Maria went to the game with a friend of hers / maria fue al juego con un amigo de ella.
