La religión en Taiwan-Budismo.
Since i am not an expert inreligión, so today i will show you some videos and with some simple explanation to let you guys know what is the religión going on in Taiwan in our daily life.
Buddhism is a religion to about 300 millionpeople around the world. The word comes from 'budhi', 'to awaken'. It has its origins about 2,500 years ago when Siddhartha Gotama, known as the Buddha, enlightened himself at the age of 35, thencreated the religion. And it is originated at India. Around 2300 years ago, it was brought in the west part of china, and being glorified and expanded afterwards.
After so many years, Buddhism has beenexpanded into lots of Asian countries, and of course being adopted and modified into their own culture.
When talk about Buddhism in Taiwan, I have to also talk about Taoist, another religion originatedfrom China. Now in Taiwan, Buddhism and Taoist have been merged gradually because they have similar principle. Buddhism itself is simple and doesn´t have much ceremony, and there is only oneGod-Buddha.
As for Taoist, it has lots of ceremonies, and there are multiple Gods, some of them are heroes or heroins, some of them are legend in ancient time.
In Taiwan, we all can go to temple forBuddhism, but meanwhile, we also go to temple for Taoist.
The purpose is the same—finding the peace in mind from the Gods. So I am a Buddhism and also a Taoist as well.
Here is a video(UK one) about thereligion in Taiwan, from here, you can know more about the religion practically in our daily life, not just from the book.
