COOL MINT!
RESEARCH QUESTION:
Does mint actually cool things down,
or is it just asensation?
HYPOTHESIS
I think mint is really fresh or cool
things down in liquids or your mouth.
RESEARCH
Mints have a distinctive tastes that may enjoy for their freshness and thefreshness it provides to ones´breath.
Mint actually comes as an herb. The candies we eat sometimes have mint.
MATERIALS
Pack of regular mints(altoids, tic-tac, mentos, etc..)
2 Glassesof hot water
1 Thermometer
Pen and paper for notes
COOL MINT!
PROCEDURE:
1st Get a glass of hot water and take the temperature with the thermometer. RECORD THIS.
2nd Place 5mints in the glass of hot water and take the temperature again. Was there a change?
3rd Place more mints in the glass of hot water 5 at a time and record wheter you see any change at all.You should monitor it for 30 minutes.
4th The other glass of hot water is to be used as a reference. This is because we know that water cools over time and we want to make sure that ifthere is any change in temperature, it is not independent of time, but of the mints speeding up the cooling process.
5th Record your results. Is there any changes?

COOL MINT!
CONCLUSION
Myhypothesis was right, because of the freshness of the mint, it cools things down, it is a fresh feeling when we taste it, but it´s also fresh by itselves, that´s why it cools thing down….Mint, is a herb fresh by itself.
