RUMPELSTILTSKIN
Once upon a time, there was a miller who had a beautiful girl. She was kind and shy.
One day, as the king was passing, he saw her, and said – WOW! She’s beautiful! – And the millersaid, - YES, and she’s very clever! SHE CAN TURN STRAW INTO GOLD! – The king can’t believe this and said to the miller that brings her to his castle tomorrow. The miller said OK nervously. When theking LEFT, the miller thought why did I said that?!
The next day, the miller and his daughter went to the castle. She was very excited. As soon as they arrived, the king showed her a room full ofstraw. The king said that it was all for her, and she laughed, she didn’t know anything. He said, it’s for you, and you must turn it into gold for me by tomorrow! The girl was afraid, SHE CAN’T DO THAT!The king said that the miller told him that the girl can turn straw into gold, and if she didn’t do that, her father will die for telling lies! The king locked the door and went away. The girl put herhead in her hands and cried and cried. What will she do? She didn’t know how to turn straw into gold? What did her father say such a silly thing?
Suddenly, she heard a strange little voice saying ‘tra la la’, she looked up and saw a tiny man with long point ears and long point nose. The little man asked her ‘What’s wrong with you?’ ‘Why are you crying?’ She told him that the king had said thatshe must turn all the straw into gold by morning. And she can’t do that. The little man said that he can help her! But first, she had to give him her necklace, and she gave him although it was fromher mother and she felt sad. He started to work and he was working all night and in the morning, the room was full of beautiful gold thread. Then, he said ‘goodbye’ and disappeared. When the kingarrived and saw this, he felt very happy and rich! The girl was delighted because now she can go home, and asked to the king about that but he said that she can’t go home yet and he showed her another...
