Problem:
Philip thinks that his father doesn’t understand him and that hismother doesn’t care about him. He argues a lot with his sister and brother.

Exciting Point:
The only exciting point in the story is the landslide because you don’t know if everything is going to be alright or if the team gets to the match.

Problem Solved:
At the end Philip learns how grateful he is and that he has a lot to thank for. Besides that he gets the job he dreamed.

End:
Atthe end everything turns up alright. The whole family is okay. Philip gets better in a month and he gets a job at Mr. Levendis computer café.

Plot:
Saturday Storm takes place in the present day in England. The story is about the Alexiou family. Penny (mother), Jim (father) and 3 children, Philip, Viki and Alex. The story focuses on Philip, the oldest son. He thinks that his father doesn’tunderstand him and that his mother doesn’t care about him. He argues a lot with his sister and brother. But at the end Philip learns how grateful he is and that he has a lot to thank for.

Main Idea:
Family. The story is not about computers, basketball or love, it’s about the family, and how we should appreciate things.

Opinion:
As a requirement I read Saturday Storm, but in my personalopinion the story was really lame. I didn’t like it at all because for me it had no point, fun or anything interesting. I don’t read a lot but when I do it’s kind of fun because I choose interesting novels. Unlike this one, that I did get to choose it and it was really boring and the worst part was the end. What happed to that family on the landslide was terrible and pretty tragic and I just don’tthink the author expressed that correctly.
