1.1 The official history of globalization:
The world started to promote free trade under the lasses-faire policy that was being used by the liberalchampions the British this turned out to be a huge global change with countries such as Japana and Germany deregulating their markets and starting with free trade but this all collapse after the first worldwar when the USA started with protectionist and anti free trade policies which in return they ended with Germany and Japan raising trade barriers and protectionism policies and on the final stage withthe UK raising tariffs for trade again and with the end of the second world war the last debris of free trade where vanquished and the whole world started reevaluating their economics under thehegemony of USA the liberalism started to rule again under the General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs (GATT) and with the third world debt crisis the developing countries ruled out the protectionistpolicies and started to work around neo liberalism all around the world. On 1995 fortunately the GATT became the WTO which are the main pillars of the liberalized world.

1.2 The real history ofglobalization:
En este capítulo habla sobre su versión de cómo el mundo se globalizó, empieza hablando del imperio Británico y su presencia en Asia por medio de China e India, empieza diciendo que gracias altratado de Nanking es que UK se adueñó de Honk Kong como resultado de la guerra del opio que los mismos británicos iniciaron porque había un déficit de comercio entre ellos y China, entonces empezarona exportar Opio de la India a China para así mejorar la situación por así decirlo ya que el opio en China era ilegal y un oficial chino confiscó un cargamento de opio de los británicos la guerraempezó y la ganó UK como consecuencia apoderándose de Hong Kong. Dice que los países que estaban bajo poder colonial eran víctimas de bajas tarifas de mercado por lo que sus economías no eran muy buenas...
