Mexican Celebrations and Festivals
In Mexico there are a lot of festivals and celebrations, below, I show and describe the most important ones. The descriptions follow a chronological order throughthe year.
Well, we start with “New year”, this celebration is very important to Mexican people because they spend much time with his family, interchange gifts and best wishes. This date match withMerry Christmas season. It has many social and economic consequences because people spent a lot of money with trips, gifs, and expensive foods and Christmas decorations, but also this season creates alot of kind of temporal jobs to young people who are on vacations. It causes an important season to all the people.
The next celebration is Independence Day; in this celebration Mexican celebrate whitparties in each municipality, where each mayor simulates the scene when the Catholic pastor “Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla” rebelled against Spanish people who enslaved Mexican people during three ages.During the party Mexican people dance, sing, eat Mexican food and take some drinks all the night. The next day the government prepares a military parade on the streets of the Mexico City.
There are alot of celebrations in the different states of Mexico in which the people venerates saints making small parties with dance and religious acts. This kind of celebration is very common because thepeople are very religious and partying.
By the other hand there are a lot of festivals in Mexico. The most important are Cervatino Festival, it is, for me the most important because this present aseries of events during almost a month among which are; painting exhibitions, sculptures exhibitions, concerts and something like that.
In this festival some hundreds of students arrive to Guanajuato toenjoy those events, besides, in the night you can visit a club or a bar to take some drinks and meet a beautiful girls.
