Introduction
No levels. No load times. Just never-ending action that doesn't stop until you leave the game! Tony Hawk's American Wasteland gives you - for the first time ever in a Hawk game - the freedom toskate, or bike, throughout a rich, expansive open environment. Once you arrive in Los Angeles, the vast city that gave birth to skate culture, the sky's the limit as you progress through the Wasteland story and choose missions that will have you immersed in the action without ever skating the same line twice!

Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compliant, Sound Blaster(r) X-Fi(tm) series card recommended
Video Card: 64 MB DirectX 9.0c video card (see supported list)
Disc Drive: 8X CD-ROM drive required to install and play
Peripherals: Keyboard required, gamepad recommended
Multiplayer:Minimum system requirements plus either a 56K modem or broadband (broadband connection recommended). Broadband internet connection required for multiplayer hosting.

(2) Installation Instructions

1. Insert Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland disc 1 into your CD-ROM drive.
2 Select Install from the window that pops up. If the window does not appear, you can bring it up by going to My Computer and double clicking the Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland disc 1 icon.
3. Follow the step-by-stepinstructions. The installer will install the game to your machine in the location you request. Switch out the discs when prompted to do so.
4. To play the game, double click the shortcut that has been placed on your desktop or select the Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland icon that appears in your in your start menu under Programs/Aspyr Media, Inc/Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.


(3) RemovalInstructions

1. Open up the Control Panel.
2. Launch Add-Remove Programs.
3. Select Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland.
4. Click Change/Remove and follow the on-screen instructions.

(iii) Performance Issues

If you are experiencing poor performance, there are a few settings that you can adjust within the Tony Hawk's American Wasteland Launcher. If you are running on the low graphics settings andyou are still experiencing poor performance, try turning off full screen anti-aliasing and high quality shadows. Additionally, you can enable distance clipping and fog may boost your performance.

Trying to save or run the game without enough free hard drive space (3.5 GB) will cause problems and prevent the user from running the game. Please make sure to free up enough hard drive space to...
