Introduction or Abstract

In this work, you must investigate how to influence the leaves on the plant growth. The problem was: What do the leaves of plants?
For this reason, it made thefollowing prediction: "The more leaves, will be the largest growth."

The materials used were:

1. Three plants in their pots
2. Tags
3. Rule
4. Scissors
5. Measuring cup

The procedureused was as follows:

a. Labeling the three plants as normal, half and none.

b. Cut all the leaves of the plant labeled as none, half of the leaves of the plant labeled as half and do nothingto the plant labeled as normal.

c. Measure and record the size of each plant.

d. Place the plants where they receive sunlight, water them with the same amount of water whenever needed.

e.Measure the plants weekly, record and analyze data. Cut the new leaves grow on plants labeled as half and none.

f. Taking pictures at the beginning and every 3 weeks and the last day ofobservation.

When the procedure is observe the fastest growing plant had the highest number of leaves. The plant without leaves, it was obtained lower growth.

After the research, it was foundthat the hypothesis was true. The plants need leaves to carry out the photosynthesis process suitable for their growth. The plant with more leaves had the highest growth.

In the future willrealize other research, to test the effect of the amount of sunlight received by the plant in its growth.
