1. Energy is required to drive all life processes, one of the most important is the growth and repair of cells andtissues. Energy is also needed to transport molecules to make sure that nutrients and other molecules get to where they are needed. Living things also need energy to move, all organisms use movement evenplants that don't appear to. Energy is also required for temperature control in warm blooded animals. A few organisms also use energy to produce light like fireflies, or to produce electricity suchas electric eels. Also living systems require a constant input of energy because energy is lost as energy transfer takes place. So we may say that we use energy to get energy.

2. Energy can metransformed but not formed the biggest font of it is the Sun. Plants use sunlight to carry on photosynthesis and produce glucose and with the breaking down of it plants get energy. When an animal eatsthe plant it will not eat the whole of it so it will not absorb all the energy of the plant. From the energy that the animal obtained a part will be lost, another part will be used and the left partwill be stored inside tissues. Because of this at every step of the food chain energy will be lost. When a living organism dies scavengers transform organic matter into inorganic matter that will beabsorbed by the plants and the cycle will start again.

2. The activation energy is the energy needed to start any chemical process. The amount of activation energy required is not the same in allchemical reactions.
