The traditions of el salvador and its culture
One of the best wealth of El Salvador is its people. The charm of its inhabitants has earned him the name of "land of smiles". More than six million inhabitants, 90% mestizo, 5 per cent of indigenous people and the other 5% of European descendants populate the country. El Salvador keeps a rich past of indigenous cultures that manifested in dances,stories, and customs product of the mixture between the indigenous and the Spanish. Popular celebrations are always accompanied by folk dances with colourful masks and costumes.
Gastronomy:
The most exquisite food is a space of corn tortilla, known for "pupusa". Anywhere you can find pupuserías. Other typical foods are seafood, beans, fish, crabs, rice, salads, gallo in chincha soup and a richvariety of tropical fruits.

The most notable food of El Salvador are the pupusas. The Pupusa is a thick tortilla made by hand (either using mass of maize or rice) filled with one or more of the following ingredients: cheese (usually a soft cheese called Quesillo with and without Loroco), chicharrón, refried beans, or loroco withcheese. Other ingredients such as shrimp, chicken, or the squash are generally used by restaurants.
The pupusas are made tortillas of maize or rice dough stuffed with cheese, pork rinds, beans, revolts (chicharrón and beans or beans and cheese), shrimp or chacalines and fish. Eaten with cabbage tanning.

mince pies (empanada corn with vegetablefilling, and if lucky, also meat)
The basic food of the Salvadoran consists of: beans, tortillas, rice, dairy products, vegetables or vegetables, and fruits. The meat, poultry and fish, are part of the food but are not essential.
Art and culture:

A very common tradition throughout El Salvador are the patron saint of different peoples, there are dances, costumes, groups, lunch, instruments and own Salvadoran folklore music.One of the patron is danced and representation declamada known as "Los Historiantes"which form two groups of dancers. A very elegant and masks of white complexion and blonde beards rigged in ways group. The other group dressed in exotic costumes and black masks. These celebrations date back to the time of the conquest of America, and represent the struggle between Moors and Christians in the Iberian Peninsula.
