Distension: It was the era in where United States and Soviet Union find the equilibrium because they forget the tensions and problems. Also, therelations of commercial trades had been improved in this era.

Dissident: They were people who expressed without fear their feelings about the political views and reforms. Mainly, they were against theregimen and because of the expression they received punishments.

Perestroika: It was the base of all the reforms that Gorbachev did; moreover, this word is recognized as the reconstruction becausewith all the new reforms they pretended the changing and renovation of the economic policies.

Identify who were:
• Ronald Reagan: He was a United States’ President who was elected in 1980, theyear in where the cold war returns back with more power. This president helped revolutionaries in Afghanistan; furthermore, he imposed again the phenomenon of the arms race.

• Mikhail Gorbachev: Hewas a leader in the Union Soviet who took control in 1985. He made a lot of reforms in the nation, and that reforms conformed the Perestroika. He left the power in 1991; consequently, he was the lastpresident in the Union Soviet.

• Leonid Brezhnev: He was the successor of Nikita Khrushchev in the Union Soviet with the company of Alex Kosygin. He made and implemented new reforms. For examplehe authorized the admission of occidental types of music, fashion and also art. Brezhnev continued with the heavy industry and he made a doctrine who talked about communism.

• Doctrine Brezhnev:the doctrine, which creator was Leonid Brezhnev, talked about how Union Soviet had the right to get involved in any situation if the communism was damaged by another communism country.
