D:A rigid bar that pivots about one point and thatis used to move an object ata second point by aforce applied at a third.
* S: A lever is constructed from a beam attached to ground by a hinge, or fulcrum.
2. fulcrum: fulcroD:The support, or point of rest, on which a lever turns inmoving a body.
3. effort end: último esfuerzo

D:exertion of physical or mental power

4. load end: última carga

D:anything put in or on something for conveyance ortransportation; freight;  cargo

5. wheel and axle: rueda y eje

D:A solid disk or a rigid circular ring connected by spokes to a hub, designed to turn around an axle passedthrough the center.
D:A supporting shaft or member on or with which a wheel or a set of wheels revolves
6. crank: grieta

D:any of several types of arms or levers forimparting rotary or oscillatory motion to a rotating shaft, oneend of the crank being fixed to the shaft and the other crank endreceiving reciprocating motion from a hand, connecting rod, etc.

7. pulley: polea
D:A simplemachine consisting essentially of a wheel with a grooved rim in which a pulled rope or chain can run to change the direction of the pull and thereby lift a load.
* S: A pulley is a wheel on an axle that is designed to support movement of a cable or belt along its circumference

8. block: bloquear
D:A solid piece of a hard substance, such as wood, having one or more flat sides.
* S:A city block, the smallest area that is surrounded by streets
9. wedge: cuña
D:A piece of material, such as metal or wood, thick at one edge and tapered to a thin edge at the other for insertion in a narrow crevice, used for splitting, tightening, securing, or levering.
* S: A wedge is a triangular shaped round tool, a compound and portable inclined plane, and one of the six classicalsimple machines.
10. inclined plane: plano inclinado
D:A plane set at an angle to the horizontal, especially a simple machine used to raise or lower a load by rolling or sliding
11. screw: tornillo
D:A cylindrical rod incised with one or more helical or advancing spiral threads, as a lead screw or worm screw
* S: I'm going to use this screw to hang the moose head on
12. helix:hélice
D:A spiral form or structure
* S: A helix is a type of smooth space curve
13. jack: gato
D:A support or brace, especially the iron crosstree on a topgallant masthead
14. statics: estática
D:The equilibrium mechanics of stationary bodies
* S: Engineering Statics course consists of a series of units.
15. dynamics: dinámica
D:The branch of mechanics that is concerned with theeffects of forces on the motion of a body or system of bodies, especially of forces that do not originate within the system itself. Also called kinetics.
* S: Dynamics of a tropical mountain ecosystem

16. mechanics of materials: mecánica de materials
D:Mechanics of materials is a field of study at the boundary of two disciplines, Applied mechanics and Materials Science and Engineering, focussing on relations between the mechanical behavior of materials and their microstructures
17. fluid mechanics: mecánica de fluidos
D:Fluid mechanics is the study of fluids and the forces on them
18. continuum mechanics: mecánica de medios continuos
D:Continuum mechanics is a branch of mechanics that deals with the analysis of the kinematics and the mechanical behavior of materialsmodeled as a continuous mass rather than as discrete particles.
19. dynamics: dinámica
D:The branch of mechanics that is concerned with the effects of forces on the motion of a body or system of bodies, especially of forces that do not originate within the system itself. Also called kinetics.
20. mechatronics: mecatrónica
