Summer and winter, are they opposite seasons?
There are four seasons in the year; each one has different characteristics which include positive and negative aspects. Two of them are consideredalmost opposites, one is summer and the other is winter. The summer and winter have many differences, the factors that make them different are: the weather, the dates when are presented and the activitiesthat people practice.
The summer begins in December and ends in February, it is the warmest season in the year. The weather includes sun almost all the summer and a lot of rain at the end. In thisperiod of the year the nature has an opportunity to develop, the climate is perfect because it is humid and warm. On the contrary, one negative aspect is that the constant rain produces many floods andlandslides so it is harder to travel. In this season all the people in the country have a vacation that lasts almost three months. So there is more free time to practice different kinds of activities.People usually go to the pool, go to camp with their family, attend many classes like; sports, art, cooking, etc. And even though there are risks, people travel before the rain starts producing floodand landslides.
The winter begins in June and ends in August, it is the coldest season in the year. The weather is very dry with almost no rain but it is also sunny. In this part of the year, peoplecan hang out more often, but they have to be careful because the winter sun can damage their skin. Something that is very common in winter is that many people get sick and usually with a cold. Inthis period, there is also a vacation but it is shorter, it lasts two or three weeks. In these weeks people can travel easier because there are no problems on the roads. Some great places to visit are “El Salar de Uyuni” and “La Cumbre”.
