INTRODUCCION
In the city of San Miguel is held every year the Ovecha RagueFestival where are performed various artistic and traditional customs and they promote local handicrafts. Among the activities to highlight is a major exhibition of products derived from sheep'swool: fur coats, blankets, caps, rugs and other items.
They also do a great parade of cavalry demonstrations of skill of the horsemen and women of all ages as well as the best specimens of each stay. Finally, abig fair with typical local foods such as roasted at the stake and many other local delicacies.
In this work I’ll be showing you the different activities people performed at the festival.OVECHA RAGUE FESTIVAL
The Ovecha Ragué Festival of Crafts and Songs is one of the most important folk festivals in Paraguay and is held every year since 1989 in the city of San Miguel, located 445kilometers from CDE in the Department of Missions. The program includes arts festival, craft show, parade of cavalry and a pleasant encounter around the typical foods.
During the Festival, about 56 craftguilds of different industries exhibit their products to the public. You can see and purchase handicrafts.
Miguel Arcángel Square is the place where takes place this traditional festival of the city, andthe little stores are placed around the stage and address abroad place where there will be the presentation of the horses and riders.
The city is visited by thousands of tourists and from alldelegations of Paraguay and Argentina and neighboring countries. The official launch event takes place in the central square with a parade of cavalry, accompanied by bands and colorful students fromdifferent educational institutions of the Department of Misiones. The activities take place for several days and culminate with the election of Miss Ovecha Ragué.
