Apollo´S Gold

The story is set on a Greek island. Liz, an archaeologist in Athens, has been overworking and her doctor advises complete rest. Her boss, Stavros, agrees, and offers her his family holiday home inPoulati, on the island of Sifnos. Liz begins her holiday, and reads about local history and legend on the ferry. At the harbour in Kamares, she is annoyed by the behaviour of some men on a motor yacht.One, Mike, is very friendly towards her, while another, Takis, is actively hostile.
She finds Poulati idyllic, relaxes and enjoys her holiday. The idyll is marred when Yiannis, the brother of Eleniwho runs the taverna, is killed in a mysterious fire on his fishing boat. Liz later overhears two men talking about the fire. One is the local policeman and the other is Takis from the yacht. Sheascertains there is something suspicious about the fire, and that Yiannis, for some reason, had put himself in danger. Liz phones Stavros, who advises her to stay clear of these men and not to get involvedin anything dangerous. Heedless of his advice, Liz accepts an invitation from Mike to lunch on the yacht, which offends Takis. On the yacht, Liz escapes Mike’s amorous advances and flees downstairsonly to find herself in a cupboard full of guns. The secret is out: Mike and his boss Mr John are terrorists. Liz is now in grave danger.
Takis is ordered to tie Liz up, but he reveals he is anundercover police agent. He helps Liz to escape and hits Mike to stop him shooting her. Liz swims to safety on the shore, but is determined to come to the aid of Takis. In a cave under the cliffs, Liz findsmore guns. While swimming back to the yacht, she is captured, tied up, and left in the cave with Takis, who has been badly beaten.
Liz, however, has concealed a knife which they use to cut eachother free. Liz and Takis talk, and find they have much in common. Suddenly, Mike appears in the entrance of the cave, and Liz shoots him with a burst of machine gun fire. But then she is seized by Mr...
