L’ENTERRAMENT DEL NEOLÍTIC ANTIC DE LA PLAÇA DE LA VILA DE MADRID
(BARCELONA). UNA ESTRUCTURA FUNERÀRIA DEL VIè MIL·LENNI aC
Durant les campanyes d’excavació
arqueològica dutes a terme a la plaça
de la Vila de Madrid els anys 2001
i 2002, es va poder localitzar una petita
estructura d’enterrament que pertany
cronoculturalment al neolític antic.
L’estructura es localitzava entrela zona
funerària romana i estava excavada
al subsòl geològic. Aquesta estructura
tenia un caràcter exclusivament
funerari i havia estat construïda
amb aquesta finalitat. La cronologia
obtinguda per mitjà del C14 accelerat
ha donat com a resultat una data molt
antiga: mitjan VIè mil·lenni,
amb datacions cal·librades.
L’enterrament de la plaça de la Vila
de Madrid és la manifestació funerària
al’aire lliure més antiga documentada
fins al moment a Catalunya.

Durante las campañas de excavación
arqueológica llevadas a cabo enla
plaza Vila de Madrid en 2001 y 2002,
se pudo localizar una pequeña
estructura de enterramiento
subsuelo geológico. Esta estructura
tenía un carácter exclusivamente
funerario y había sido construida
con esta finalidad. La cronología
obtenida mediante C14 acelerado ha
de Madrid constituye la manifestación
funeraria al aire libre más antigua
documentada en Cataluña hasta

creusée dans le sous-sol géologique.

construite à cette fin. La chronologie
obtenue par le biais du C14 accéléré
a donné comme résultat une date très
ancienne : lemilieu du VIe millénaire,
avec des datations calibrées.
La sépulture de la place Vila de Madrid
est la manifestation funéraire à l’air
libre la plus ancienne qui soit
documentée en Catalogne jusqu’à
ce jour.
