William Shakespeare, born in England on
April 23rd 1564, is still regarded as the
best English writer of all times. He became
f amous as a play writer and actor by 1592.
Shakespeare'slife was not easy. He had
s ome economical difficulties and other
dramatists of his time were jealous of his
work.
Although he wrote poems and sonnets,
he is famous most for the plays he wrote:'Romeo and Juliet', 'The Merchant of
Venice', King Lear', 'Macbeth', and many
others.
"To be or not to be, that is the question",
does it sound familiar?
Shakespeare died on the same day he wasborn, April 23rd, but in 1616. That same day
and year Miguel de Cervantes, the author
of 'El Quijote', died too. These two great
writers never carne to meet each other.
