Agression
Margaret J. Wheatley
Life is about experiencing different and incredible emotions that give your life sense every day. Therefore, it is normal to sometimes feel happiness, laugh, sadness and anger amongothers, but if anger does not go away, you may be suffering from aggressive patterns that in most of the cases will make you act aggressively. Moreover, aggression is a destructive way of releasing our own anger and frustrations in an intolerable way but most of all it is a way of destroying our own and others’ peace and lives.
In theory, aggression is “a forceful behavior, action, orattitude that is expressed physically, verbally, or symbolically. It may arise from innate drives or occur as a defense mechanism, often resulting from a threatened ego. It is manifested by either constructive or destructive acts directed toward oneself or against others.” ("agression,").
Furthermore, three essential kinds of aggression exists, these are, constructive aggression, destructiveaggression, and inward aggression. The first one refers to the self-protective act of a person who defends him or herself from something that represents a threat for the integrity of his organism. The second one refers to an unnecessary act of resentment toward an external object and the third kind of aggression refers to a harmful and completely destructive behavior toward oneself integrity. These three ways in which aggression is divided, they represent the different contexts in which it can be presented among society. Most of people around the world think that suffering from or acting with aggressive patterns at some point of their lives is more than a common issue among people who live in a society. It is because the concept and perception of aggression is being categorized as anordinary behavior due to the fact that the number of people who suffer from aggression around the world has increased enormously making people think it is almost as eating three meals per day. In addition, people who are suffering whichever kind of aggression are influenced by destructive alterations of moods that can be categorized from moderate to severe.
Aggression can be caused external andinternal factors and they both create an effect on each individual depending on the situation and on the individual’s personality which will be later discussed. In addition this destroying behavior results in both physical and psychological effects on the individuals who suffer from it, for the integrity of the person is lowering its level as time passes and getting into a point in which there will beno more happiness in those people’s lives, for they would be living in a world of continue and infinite war until the time they decide to stop it. Moreover, it could be said that teenagers are the most susceptible when talking about phases of indivual’s lives, for they are defining their personality at that point of their lives; therefore, they tend to react easily to aggression causing factorswhich are divided as stated above, in two main categories.
Diverse theories about the causes of aggression among teenagers have been developed all over the world in many years. Nowadays, many researches have concluded that aggression in adolescents is caused by two main factors which are both internal and external. Each factor is influenced by specific causes that have their own impact on thelevel or type of aggression on people dealing with this. The first main factor to be following discussed and which causes aggression during adolescence is the internal one. It includes two important causes of it which are biological and personal causes. First of all, when referring to biological causes we refer to the scientific term in which many biological and genetic factors are included; some...
