Einstein wrote more than 300 scientific papers. He was known for some of these scientific papers:
*Theory of relativity, whichconsequences include: the time-space frame of a moving body slowing down and contracting (in the direction of motion) relative to the frame of the observer. It also argued that the idea of a luminiferousaether (a medium for the propagation of light) was superfluous.
*Mass-energy equivalence: E = mc2 (energy is put equal to mass, multiplied by the square of the velocity of light).
*Energy Quanta:light itself consists of localized particles (quanta).

In 1933 he emigrated to the U.S. due the rise of power of the Nazis in Germany. He warned, at that time, President Franklin D. Roosevelt thatthe Nazis might be researching the use of atomic bombs. He also helped in the creation of an atomic bomb for the US.
