SUMMARY:
Reuben Feffer is the best employee of the department of risk assessment of a major insurance company and an expert when it comes to minimize the risk: nothing ventured, nothing lost.
He is falling in love, and he is getting married with the most beautiful woman in the world or hethought so…
He bought the big house that his future wife, Lisa, wanted.
On their honeymoon, they went to Caribbean and they spent one week to relax there. All their plans of life and love had broken when his bride dumps on their holidays for a muscle-bound scuba instructor in front of his eyes…
Humiliated he decided don´t talk with her, the scene was clear…and she preferred to stay with instructorand let Reuben alone forever.
When he come back home alone to his now house, stunned, humiliated and in the grip of acute indigestion he finds that all people who know him knows what happened.
Reuben plans to play it safe than ever.
After he returns he attempts to begin piecing his life back together.
One night, at the behest of him best friend (and fallen former teen actor) Sandy, he goes to anart gallery where meets somebody. He, who is a bit clumsy, called the attention of a waitress. Coincidence that the waitress who recognizes him, she knows who he was!
He runs into an extroverted former classmate named Polly Prince who lives her life at risk forever and never waking up.
At the end of the night, after of they were talking about their lives since high school, they make tentativeplans to get together.
Since this night he don´t stop to think on her and he try to see her again.
Meanwhile at work, Reuben is attempting to assess Leland Van Lew, an Australian industrialist who enjoys engaging in life treating stunts (such as swimming with great while sharks) thus also making it harder for anyone to insure him.
He looks for every part the Polly´s telephone number and he find it!He tries to call her, tone sound…she pick up... she sais “hello?” and he hang up the phone.
He also got her address and decided to go to this street to see her. When he sees her, he does happen by chance over there to try to get a date with her.
On job´s Reuben, he calls Leland Van Lew´s office and his secretary tells him that Leland´s in the hospital. He got bit while swimming with greatwhites.
The second part begins when Reuben learns that Leeland is in the hospital, he got bit while swimming with greats whites…
While Reuben is in the work, Polly calls him to have a date next night.
Reuben goes to see to his friend Sandy and he is in the theatre playing his song on Jesus Christ Superstar and at finish Reuben sais to Sandy that he have meet with Polly, also said him that he had nochoice when choosing a place to dinner and Sandy reminds him that he have got irritable bowel syndrome. If Polly chose a ethnic restaurant, he is going to be running to the bathroom every five minutes…
Only tells him one thing, to pray to not go to a ethnic restaurant ... and the place name´s was…Al Hafez!
A restaurant where most of the things that you eat is with your hands ... something thatReuben does not like it ...
That evening Polly tells him that she loves to move much, she has been in many countries, and also she has had eight relationships! Reuben realizes that she is an adventurous girl, not like him.
All the food was spicy and Reuben could not stop sweating.
He had really wanted to go to the toilet… each time he sweating more and more…He tries to show than nothing was happeningbut he has a lot of stomach growling…and he doesn´t stop to drink water! it was a very uncomfortable situation for him!
He decides to go to men´s room and the toilet was busy probably all night ... so when they go to Polly´s house, he could no longer more!
Polly takes a while to get the keys into the bag and Reuben doesn´t stop to have stomach growling! He needed to go to the toilet as soon as...
