The ideas, customs and social behavior of a society define culture. With more than 7 billion people on this earth there is a wide spectrum of cultures. Culture is what makes us all different andunique. My experiences, my principals and the want I have for equality is what I can bring to a culturally diverse world.
“You are the most powerful cultural force in the world –William J. Clinton” beinga bi-racial young woman , culture has always been important to me , to know both sides of who I am and stay grounded in my roots. But with that comes the struggle of not fitting in with the crowdsometimes I’m too much of one race and not enough of the other, I can relate to those culturally diverse individuals when it comes to dealing with the everyday battle with your culture and where you fit.I can contribute through what I have learned in my experiences with others going through the same thing.

I apply 3 main principles to everything I do; Acceptance, respect and kindness. First,accept everyone and everything for whom or what it is, never passing judgment on others, without acceptance nothing will progress. Second, Respect the ones around you, you may not agree with what they door have the same beliefs as they do but respect should always be given. Last but not least, Kindness, show compassion for everyone you come in contact with, you don’t know what their struggles theyface day to day. I apply these 3 principals to my everyday life, a little can go a long way and I’d like to think that I can make the multicultural world a better place if everyone applied these sameprinciples.

I stand firm in my belief of equality for all people no matter what race, gender or creed. Everybody is beautiful no matter where you’re from or what you look like and you should betreated just as that. We may not always see eye to eye or agree on certain things b
