ANIMAL FARM
Author: George Orwell
Main characters:
Old Major Frederick Squealer, Mr. Jones, Napoleon, Snowball, Pilkington and Clover.
Minor Characters:
Boxer, Muriel, Benjamin, Mollie,Moses rats, chickens, sheep, dogs, pigeons and ducks.
Plot:
The book tells the story of Manor Farm owned by Mr. Jones, and this is an alcoholic and therefore neglects the animals and feed them.Then one day gather to listen to Old Major, the pig farm wisest and convince them to rebellion telling of his dream of freedom by singing a song that talks about not having to work for human lifeand property.
After the rebellion that started with a fight and run to succeed Mr. Jones, but the old man dies while larger than the other two young pigs are left in charge and with more ideas towhich they decide to call animalism 7 rules and rename the farm for "farm animals."
At first everything worked fine until pigs abused their power and began to fight each other....
Opinion.
As Iread, is a fable-level work on the Russian revolution and tries to give an overview about the abuse of power and corruption.
It is very interesting to see how the author uses his creativity totell what happened in the revolution using talking animals, learn to read and manage a farm, the comparison is very good as it is very realistic.
I could also see that it is essential and respectanywhere rules for healthy living.
The writing and storytelling technique used was very good to me as it is very easy to understand and look for interesting and fun to read, because it includessarcasm...
Personally helped me to see that even though this is not possible in real life you have to give good treatment and a decent life for animals and also feel and sometimes we forget.
Tounderstand it is important to have knowledge of history, because of small remember seeing the movie and although it was not funny so much as now understood by reading the book and I loved it......
