Batalla de Santa Rosa PreparativosAnte la presence de los invasores en Nicaragua, queue significaba un peligro para laintegridad territorial de Costa Rica, el 25 de febrero de 1856, el presidente de Costa Rica, Juan Rafael Mora Porras, convoca extraordinariamente al Congreso para que lo autorice a llevar la guerra a Nicaragua, lo cual le es aprobado dos días después.
