1. A Christian Roman emperor declared that the Pagans needed to surrender the library to him, and so Hypatia tried totake some of the books with her when they were fleeing, but couldn’t manage to take the whole library because they had to flee out of the library compound to save their lives.

But, I looked at a lot of movie reviews, and it says that the background of this movie says that the story starts in 369 AD with tensions betweenpolytheistic Pagans and Christians. Hypatia had a class. She taught math and philosophy, classes that made you think. There were 2 pupils that were in love with her, one of them was her slave. Thatslave was called Davus, and the other called Orestes. Davus stayed behind and joined the Christians when the took over the compound, and Orestes and Hypatia fled. The Christians back in the city startstoning Jews, and their next target was Hypatia because she was declared unclean. She eventually died at the hands of a Christian mob.
