Resumen:
Uno de los problemas actuales que aquejan a las ciudades se refiere al crecimiento desordenado e improvisado en cuanto a los asentamiento humanos, para elcaso de estudio se tuvo en cuenta la pregunta del cómo fue la evolución del espacio geográfico e histórico de Puerto Asís, ciudad asentada a orillas del rio Putumayo en la región ecológica de la llanura amazónica del departamento del Putumayo al suroeste de Colombia.
La investigación arrojo como temática el clarificar como se expandió urbanísticamente la ciudad de Puerto Asís desde su fundación enel año de 1912 hasta la actualidad, por Estanislao de la Corts y Fulgencio Tulcán, Frailes de la comunidad Franciscana, los cuales llegaron con la misión de llevar el evangelio y la educación a los pocos colonos que se encontraban en esa región, y el hacer soberanía Nacional en dicha parte selvática ya que colonos del Perú, se estaban aprovechando de estos espacios para el aprovechamiento delcaucho lo cual implico el abuso y explotación de las comunidades indígenas asentadas en este lugar.
En trabajo de campo se obtuvo información primaria proporcionada por las personas naturales de la localidad, a través de entrevistas que realizaron los jóvenes investigadores y que posteriormente arrojaría una información sobre la fundación de los barrios, su historia, características, fundadores,cálculo de extensión y porcentaje territorial comparado con el total de área del casco urbano.
Todo esto permitió levantar una cartografía histórica de las etapas de crecimiento de la ciudad que se plasmaron en un mapa análogo y luego en un mapa digital.
Posteriormente se comparó una cronología de la ciudad a través de imágenes de fotografías que reflejaron el cómo era en el pasado versus actualidady proponer hacia un futuro las mejoras correspondientes para sus nuevas generaciones.

Summary:
One of the current problems that suffer to the cities refers to the disordered growth and improvised as for the establishment humans, for the case of study one kept in mind the question of the how was theevolution of the geographical and historical space of Puerto Asís, city seated beside the river Putumayo into the ecological region of the Amazonia plain of the department of Putumayo to the Southwest of Colombia.
The investigation hurtles as thematic clarifying like expanded urban the city of Puerto Asís from its foundation in the year of 1912 until the present time. Was Estanislao de la Cortsand Fulgencio Tulcán, Friars of the Franciscan community, which arrived with the mission of to take the gospel and the education to the few colonists that were in that region; and making National sovereignty since in this wild region colonists from the Peru, were taking advantage of these spaces for the exploitation of the rubber that which I imply the abuse and exploitation of the indigenouscommunities seated in this place.
In investigation work primary information was obtained provided by natural people of the town, through interviews that the investigating youths carried out and that later on it would throw an information on the foundation of the neighborhoods, its history, characteristic, founders, extension calculation and territorial percentage compared with the total of area ofthe urban helmet.
All this allowed a historical cartography of the stages of growth of the city that you/they were captured in a similar map to rise and then in a digital map.
Later on a chronology of the city was compared through images of pictures that reflected the how it was in the past versus present time and to propose toward a future the corresponding improvements for the next...
