Chapter 7 – A surprise visitor
Dr. Lanyon ______alone and late at night he enjoyed sitting in his library reading and smoking a pipe. He also like writing his thoughts in his diary and that is whathe was doing when someone knocked at his door. He was very excited by what he was writing and he didn’t want to stop, but the knocking became louder. Dr. Lanyon stopped writing but before he did, hewrote: “-Ah, someone is at the door” Dr. Lanyon looked outside and saw Dr. Jekyll at his front door. “-I don’t believe it” he opened the door. “-Jekyll, I was just thinking about you. –Dr. Lanyon, youhave to help me, you are the only one who can please, please....you have to act quickly” Dr. Jekyll’s hair was untidy and his face was as white as a ________. “-Come down Jekyll, what is wrong withyou? –Dr. Lanyon...I need you to go to my laboratory and get some medicine for me, it’s an emergency –Why can’t you go yourself? What are you doing here? – I can’t explain, please, just do this for me,it’s a matter of life and death” Dr. Jekyll put his medical bag on the floor, next to a chair, sat down and took off his tie, he couldn’t breathe properly. “-Jekyll, what’s the matter? – It’snothing, here, these are the keys to my laboratory, enter through the back door, don’t let anyone see you, on the bookcase behind the medical dictionary is a small bottle with blue liquid in it, bring thathere and hurry!” Dr. Lanyon did not like the way his friend looked, but he did what he said, and let him alone in his house while he went to get the mysterious blue liquid. When Dr. Lanyon returned hewas shocked to see another man and not Dr. Jekyll, sitting in his library chair, it was Mr. Hyde. “-You, how did you get in here? Where is Dr. Jekyll? –Never mind, give me that!” Mr. Hyde jumped upout of his chair and took the small bottle from Dr. Lanyon’s hands. “-I’m calling the police. –Ha, no you are not.” Mr. Hyde threw Dr. Lanyon down into a chair and forced him to sit there, the Dr. Saw...
