.Biography:
Gabriel José García Márquez , was born in Aracataca (Colombia) in 1928. Servant in the people of Aracataca, García Márquez it hadan infancy marked by the influence of his mother grandfather, colonel of the army and of strong liberal convictions, until in 1936 he established himself with his parents in Sincelejo though littlelater it would begin his studies in Barranquilla. Though already it had published some texts, it is not until it begins his studies of right in Bogota that begins his real passion for the literature.After the closing of the University for the big disturbances of 1948, García Márquez changed to Cartagena and it leaves the studies to be employed as journalist at several means, as The Universal oneor The Herald.
Married in 1958 Mercedes Bacha, García Márquez begins a period of trips as correspondent that will take it from Barranquilla to New York and finally to Mexico. The affinity of thewriter with the Cuban Revolution and his friendship with Fidel Castro they impeded his stay in The United States and in other countries of Latin America.
