Our body always need for energy in order to maintain homeostasis, or to keep a constant internal environment inside our body. The homeostasis must be done throughthe constant supply of energy in the form of ATP and GTP and the last tinghs are produced in metabolism of glucose and fatty acids. And it must exist constant supply of building blocks for thesynthesis of proteins and DNA molecules.

The building blocks are amino acids and DNA bases , you can obtain amino acids by eating food rich in proteins , the proteins are synthesized from amino acids ,there are 20 amino acids that constitute the building blocks of all proteins. about half of them are synthesized in the liver , and these amino acids that are synthesized in the liver are callednon-essential amino acids because our body is capable of making them.

Some others amino acids are not possible for the liver to make. These ones are called essential amino acids, they also participate inthe synthesis of proteins in the body, these essential amino acids must be obtained in the diet in the form of food rich in proteins. beacause if they don’t there will be a metabolic disease that ismanifested as the lack of certain enzymes which catalyze reactions in the cell.

Glucose is important for the generation of energy. This energy that is generated in processes called glycolysisand krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation. Glycolysis is not an efficient reaction to generate ATP.

The krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation creates much more ATP molecules, glycolysis isimportant for generating energy for the brain cells , glycolysis doesnt needs oxygen but krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation they need oxygen for its reaction to generate ATP.

The energy forour body could be obtainde to from the oxidation of fatty acids , the oxidation of fatty acids are stored in fat cells this gives much more energy in the form of ATP than the combustion of glucose,...
