What is the Cuban Revolution? It was an armed revolt against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista in Cuba, between the years 1953 and 1959. What was the Gulf War? The Gulf War was a confrontation between a Coalition Force made up of 34 countries. Causes of the conflict Iraq had been claiming the territory of Kuwait for several years, arguing that it was part of the Iraqui territory during the Ottoman Empire... The evolution of the conflict -Operation Desert Shield: it was the name given to strengthening of thedefenses of Saudi Arabia from August 2nd,1990 to January 16th 1991.

-Operation Desert Storm: it was the name given to the air and land conflict between January 17th 1991 and April 11th 1991 -First stage of the Operation Desert Storm: this one was characterized by an air conflict. -Second stage; Operation Desert Sabre: it was an air-land offensive against Iraqi forces in Kuwait from February 24th1991 to February 28th 1991. Consequences After the war, the UN imposed on Iraq a severe punishment producing social and economic effects.

CONSEQUENCES AND EVENTS OF THE ATTACK But the main objective of United States was to kill Osama bin Laden the leader of AlQaeda. • The first step taken by the U.S. in the War Against Terrorism was the invasion of Afghanistan on October 7, 2001. • On May 2, 2011, Bin Laden was killed by elite U.S. troops in Pakistan. AL-QAEDA Al-Qaeda is a globalmilitant Islamist organization founded by Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

Causes: -Tension between US (it was capitalist) and USSR (it was communist), which provoked the Cold War, a non-armed conflict between both groups. -In 1959, the Cuban Revolution of Fidel Castro triumphed, because of that US lost his privileges in the island. -Against the new dictatorship, UStook some decision, some of them were: economic boycott, the expulsion of Cuban of the OAS (Organization of American States) or the landing of emigrants who were against Castro in the Bay of Pigs.
