SUMMARY: This article aims to present some of the concepts and basic ideas that will allow us to manage and meet the main eating disorders: anorexia, bulimia andobesity. If these are understood in its complexity, the greater the possibilities of detecting them and care for them properly. These disorders had been described as clinical pictures and appearalready documented cases, however, both numerical and territorial expansion and its relationship to current culture traits characterize them as pathologies of the contemporary urban society. Anorexia,bulimia and obesity affect millions of people throughout the world can cause malnutrition, heart conditions, or other illness and even death. They are difficult to treat and remain hidden for upfriendships and closest relatives who suffer them, in some cases especially in obesity the family is which contribute to develop the disease, this makes it even more difficult to treat. Although eatingdisorders suffer individually and have psychological causes, the cultural and family environment marks its appearance and the origins of eating disorders, are therefore multicausales. In addition, itssocial expansion ranks them as a public health problem that requires being studied and dealt specifically with increasing urgency as is our country in the case of obesity, that the first Governorplace in childhood obesity. The prevalence of anorexia among the general population varies from 0.5 to 1.5%, while bulimia reaches 3%, and obesity is 65% of the world's population.
