Como Musica Nos Puede Afectar
Why do you think music affects the human being? Do you believe it does? For as long as man has walked the earth, music has been a vital part of our culture, lifestyle and collective memory. Almost anything you need to memorize from a shopping list to a formula like E = mc2, may be set to music, locked quickly into memory for later retrieval and use. Like whenyou are sad or depressed, what music do you listen to? Do you listen to sad songs to go with your sad mood, or happy songs to try and make you forget the reasons for you being sad in the first place?
Music is something beautiful. It has an effect on everyone, either from a high school girl’s favorite song on the radio, a college student’s escape from reality, the entertainment of amarried couple, no matter who, it brings everyone together somehow. It can put a smile on everyone’s face. It makes you want to dance, to sing, to be silly. You feel safe when you listen to music. Music is honestly everywhere, there is no way you could possibly avoid it. It’s there when you work out, when you’re bored; when you walk into a store, on the street, in an elevator, on the television, on abus, in movies, see where I’m going with this? Some may think it’s just the pop song playing on the radio in the car, for some people music it’s their whole life. There are many people who make a living from making music, either from an instrument, computer, singing, or maybe just composing it and putting it together. There are so many different types and styles of music, so much variety. Fromcountry, rap, rock, hard rock, r&b, blues, metal, hiphop, ranchera, cumbia, indies rock, salsa, alternative, classic, club, techno, electronic, latin, and so many more. Music has the effect of how we talk, how we dress, and how we act in general. It can either send out a good or bad message to the people. If you think about it, most of your friends have the same or similar taste in music as youdo.
The cause of the effect of music is having a real understanding on what the songs are saying, or the message the artist is trying to send out. A lot of the songs teenagers listen to, are ones talking about what goes on in their lives, showing them not to be afraid, they’re not the only ones out there, and to always have hope in things. I think music has more of an effect onteenagers more than anything, because when you’re a kid, you don’t really analyze what the lyrics are telling you. From my personal experience I can say it is a fact, because when I was a kid I remember I would sing this one song called “Animal” by Nickelback, and when I got older, I remember I stopped and listened to what the song was actually saying, and all it talked about was sex and very vivid, andof course me being a kid I didn’t really know what I was singing I just liked the rhythm of the song. Teenagers actually listen to the lyrics, and try to find themselves in what it is saying, or make them feel like someone out there is just like them, or has the same problems. Many troubled teenagers use music as their way of coping with things, when they are mad they plug in their headphones, music blasting, just to shut the world out for a little bit. It talks about their experiences, things they have gone through. Also now a day, a lot of teenagers learn about new things going on throughout the world with music. They learn about different cultures, new artists and makes them become more open minded to things. To some it gives them the confidence to express themselves in a way theynever actually could do with just words, through behavior or not even through art. Music can also do the job most parents can’t, like introduce them to new things, for instance those “talks” about sex, drugs, or giving them a clear image of what life can truly be like, telling them life isn’t always butterflies and rainbows and sunshine, its more complicated. Telling stories about the people who are...
