What makes this case against Chevron Historic?
The case against chevron is historic since it is one of the few times that such a poor community ofpeople, who has had to suffer because their rights have sendomly been met, has had the opportunity to do a class law suit to one of the mostimportant companies of the world today, and they have won it.

What has the evidence of the case shown?
It has demonstrated that Chevron uses unethicalpractices, and has affected the land in which this people live greatly.




What has been the health and social impacts of the chevron Texacopollution?
It has polluted many under ground water reserves from which people drank water, the water is know contaminated and has been causing diseasessuch as cancer. Also it has cut many of the trees, and driven the people of the area to urban settings in which they are not prepared to survive. TheTexaco land exploitation has taken culture and health from the natives.


Has Chevron done anything to help the humanitarian crisis?
Notreally. They have invested some money on supposedly saving the community, but it has not been an important effort that has helped in any way the people ofthe area.




Chevron blames petroecuador .why?
Because it is the only way to get out of paying the fine. Since petroecuador was there before,they are blaming all the damage caused on them, saying that Texaco is in no way responsible for the whole mess.
