A moment of failure or success
“Welcome to The Olympic Winter Games 2012!” said the instructor. “In gymnastic category, we have the participant #111 Mike Jones. Mike is very good at this sport, lastyear he surprised us with the 3rd place in trampoline and 2nd in ring. Today he’s goal is get the 1st place!”
Mike took a deep breath, wave to the audience, make bow at the judges and startedjumping. His pirouettes were awesome, nothing went wrong and he just made everything perfect. After he finished, his coach gave an interview to many reporters. “Mike has been working in his routine a longtime, many hours daily, and all his effort was reflected there” – said the coach.
At the beginning of the competition his score was 8.5 in trampoline; everybody clapped and cheer him happily as hedeserves.
3 days after, his rings competition was going to define his abilities in this sport.
Two days after, when he was training he had an accident in the rings. He was performing his perfectround when suddenly a hand came loose so he dropped the rings and fell down where there was no protection. His coach quickly run onto him and see what happened. Apparently he broke his leg, but he was notper’ sure. Mike went to the hospital. The doctors told him that he couldn’t continue in the Olympic Games. Mike started crying and crying because his dream of win championship was spoiled.
Nextyear he wanted to go to the Olympic National Games, but doctors told him that it will be very difficult to recover 100% his abilities, but he didn’t give up. He had a dream and he will fight for it.Mike went to the Olympic National Games in Chicago; there he gave 400% of him. He knew that to win championships you need years of practice, and if you had an accident, as he did, it would be difficultto be 100% right again. But Mike had hope, and he didn’t need anything else.
Once the Olympic Games were finished Mike had an interview with a reporter, who asked him “what inspired you to continue...
