To transfer the data file from the computer to your cash register (page 20 in RegisterLink manual):
1. Download the attached data file from this e-mail to the following directory on your hard drive:C:\Program Files\Royal\RegisterLink\2004-10-20.crs (assumes you have already loaded the RegisterLink software)
2. Run a 'Z' report on your cash register to clear out the lastsales data
3. Connect the cash register to your computer (this assumes you have already loaded the RegisterLink software and it's communicating with your register)
4. Turn cash register key to the'X' position
5. In RegisterLink, click on "Backup/Edit/Restore Register Data"
6. In the Backup, Edit, Restore window, check the "Restore" radio button
7. In the Backup, Edit, Restore window, click on"Browse", now go find the "2004-10-20" file (in directory of #1) and click on "Open"
8. Click "Begin Restore" (Click "OK" that you've run a 'Z' report when that window pops up)
9. Click "OK" whentransfer complete

Instructions to change your register receipt Header/Footer:
1. In RegisterLink, click on "Backup/Edit/Restore Register Data"
2. In the Backup, Edit, Restore window, check the"Backup" radio button
3. Use the suggested file name [YYYY-MM-DD.crs]
4. Click on "Begin Backup"; "OK" when complete
5. In the Backup, Edit, Restore window, check the "Edit" radio button
6. Click on"Edit Register Data"
7. Click on "Data Section:" pull down menu and select "header"
8. Enter your 5-line Header data. Use leading spaces to center the header lines if desired.
9. Click on "DataSection:" pull down menu and select "footer"
10. Enter your 5-line Footer data. Use leading spaces to center the header lines if desired. You can also edit the PLUs and scrolling messages as desired.11. Click "OK" when finished editing
12. Connect the cash register to your computer (if not already)
13. Turn cash register key to the 'X' position (if not already)
