First of all, we all know there are so many troubled dogs that need to be trained. However, we should not worry about troubled dogs because we can handle them, training the dogs. On the otherhand, some dogs are relinquished for behavior problems but, if we would take some time to train our dogs, the problem will be fixed.
Therefore, we should train our dogs. The training is essential forhave a good relationship with our dogs. The training doesn’t just consist on teaching the dogs tricks and showing off; it is about have a good communication and patience until they understand what weare trying to teach them, giving them rewards, this way dogs and owners are going to be happy. But, how do we train our dogs? There are two type of training: Behavior training and obedience training.The first type is behavior training, which consists preventing and/or correcting bad habits our dogs may develop or already have, for this reason it is very important to be consistent during thetraining process. The second type is obedience training, which consists training the dog to obey certain commands such as sit, stay, come and even teaching it to heel.
Furthermore, there could be athird type of training which consists to understand the dog. Dogs usually use their entire body to communicate; we shall understand dog’s body language. Their eyes and ears are especially dynamic, andthey give sure-fire clues to dogs’ emotions and impulses. How dogs tilt their heads, wag (or raise or drop) their tails, all these things contribute to the messages our dogs try to send us.
Also, itis very important to let the dog know who the leader is because they can be getting rude and not trainable. This way the dog follows our instructions and it will know who the teacher is. Some peopleuse a newspaper rolled up and hit the dog in its snout, so the dog learns no to do bad things, especially those bad things the owner doesn’t like.
