Case study: David and Debbie
Date: for 9.10.2012.

1. Is David a Type A or Type B? Debbi? Give examples to support your answer.
I would say Davidis type A. It is because he is always taking care of the time, good example is that his phone calls do not last more than a few minutes, is looking work high achievments, but also somebody who likes towork a lot and is always being engaged in some activity, impatient, preoccupied with his status and in general he has very busy lifestyle.
Debbi on the other hand is type B. She has time forherself, and she enjoys it, she is relaxed, patient, easy going and somebody who is not only looking for the power. She loves her staff very much and she supports them, and she is also taking care aboutthe feelings of her employes and her customers.
2. Do David and Debbi differ in their degree of Machiavellianism?
David and Debbi totaly differ in their degree of Machiavellianism. David doesnot belive in his employes, so he uses manipulation and persuasion techniques to achieve his goals. His treats other people as week and he underestimates them. His thinks he knows everything and doesnot seek help from anybody.
Debbi is very different from David, because she has some other principles in her life. She is a type of person who believes that freedom is important and that if youdedicate time and trust to your employes, they will do their best.

3. How do Debbi and David differ in their respective needs for achievement, power and affiliation?
David is somebody whocraves for power and he offten risks a lot to get it. For him there is only one winner and many loosers, and he wants to be that winner. He does not threats his employes as equales and he does notbelieve in them. Debbi is not so risk taking person as David is, but that does not mean that se is not ambitious, she also wants to be successful, but on another way, by satisficing her customers...
