Dorian Gray - A radiantly handsome, impressionable, and wealthy young gentleman, whose portrait the artist Basil Hallward paints. Under the influence of Lord Henry Wotton, Dorian becomes extremely concerned with the transience of his beauty and begins to pursue his own pleasure above all else. He devotes himself to having as many experiences as possible, whether moral or immoral, elegant orsordid.
Dorian Gray: Joven extremadamente atractivo, quien es cautivado por la nueva idea del hedonismo de Lord Henry. Comienza a satisfacer cada uno de sus placeres, sin importarle si son moral o inmoralmente aceptados.
Lord Henry Wotton -  A nobleman and a close friend of Basil Hallward. Urbane and witty, Lord Henry is perpetually armed and ready with well-phrased epigrams criticizing themoralism and hypocrisy of Victorian society. His pleasure-seeking philosophy of “new Hedonism,” which espouses garnering experiences that stimulate the senses without regard for conventional morality, plays a vital role in Dorian’s development.
Lord Henry Wotton: Noble que inicialmente es amigo de Basil, pero que después queda intrigado por la ingenuidad y belleza de Dorian. Es extremadamenteingenioso. Es visto como una crítica a la cultura victoriana tardía que abraza una visión indulgente del hedonismo. Corrompe a Dorian con su visión del mundo, así que Dorian intenta emularlo. Basil lo llama "Harry".
Basil Hallward -  An artist, and a friend of Lord Henry. Basil becomes obsessed with Dorian after meeting him at a party. He claims that Dorian possesses a beauty so rare that it has helpedhim realize a new kind of art; through Dorian, he finds “the lines of a fresh school.” Dorian also helps Basil realize his artistic potential, as the portrait of Dorian that Basil paints proves to be his masterpiece.
Basil Hallward: Artista que se encapricha con la belleza de Dorian, quien le ayuda a darse cuenta de su potencial artistico, aunque el retrato que hizo de Dorian resulta ser su mejortrabajo. No es más que un artista puro y apasionado.
Sibyl Vane -  A poor, beautiful, and talented actress with whom Dorian falls in love. Sibyl’s love for Dorian compromises her ability to act, as her experience of true love in life makes her realize the falseness of affecting emotions onstage.
Sibyl Vane: Actriz muy bella, pero extremadamente pobre que se enamora de Dorian. Su amor por éldestruye su carrera, ya que no encuentra placer en la imagen ficticia del amor al tener un amor verdadero y real. Se suicida cuando Dorian ya no quiere casarse con ella, pues ha descubierto no estar enamorado de ella, sino de su arte.
James Vane -  Sibyl’s brother, a sailor bound for Australia. James cares deeply for his sister and worries about her relationship with Dorian. Distrustful of hismother’s motives, he believes that Mrs. Vane’s interest in Dorian’s wealth disables her from properly protecting Sibyl. As a result, James is hesitant to leave his sister.
James Vane: Hermano de Sibyl que se convierte en marino y se marcha a Australia. Es extremadamente protector con su hermana, y no se atreve a dejarla porque cree que Dorian la perjudicará. Intenta matar a Dorian, pero al ver quesu rostro es joven y fresco, cree que no es él. Se lo describe como un tipo recio y cuadrado.
Mrs. Vane -  Sibyl and James’s mother. Mrs. Vane is a faded actress who has consigned herself and her daughter to a tawdry theater company, the owner of which has helped her to pay her debts. She conceives of Dorian Gray as a wonderful alliance for her daughter because of his wealth; this ulteriormotive, however, clouds her judgment and leaves Sibyl vulnerable.
Mrs. Vane: Madre de Sibyl y James, actriz vieja y acabada. Sibyl y ella están consignadas en el teatro pobre para pagar sus deudas. Está extremadamente complacida con la relación entre Sibyl y Dorian por la promesa de estatus y riqueza del joven.
