Chevrolet
Introduction
Chevrolet was born in 1926; and it was established in Ecuador in 1987.
Chevrolet is one of the most important brands in the automobilist world. This company used to belong to General Motors.
Chevrolet was born of the alliance between Louis Chevrolet and William Durant in 1911.
Chevrolet presents a great variety of vehicles models; some of them are fancier, cheaper ormore expensive but all these things depend on the necessity of the customer.
This company was establishing by General Motors with the idea of offering to the customers in Ecuador and all over the world, all the technology and comfort that only Chevrolet’s car can provide.
Since the opening of the first store, Chevrolet has expanded quickly through America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Chevroletcombines it marketing skills and know-how to develop new models of cars, giving new lifestyles concepts.
At each Chevrolet fabric the manufactures assemble each part of the car, according to the specific needs of the customers; and that is one of the most important reasons for Chevrolet to be one of the ten well-know automobile brands nowadays.
History
The Chevrolet company was founded by LouisChevrolet and William Durant.
At the beginning Durant worked for the General Motor, a few years later he was obligated to quit to the company.
On November third in 1911, Chevrolet released to the market a new car called the T Ford. A year later, the company released a new model of car the Classic Six; this was a very comfortable and good car for the family.
In 1916, Chevrolet was so profitablethat Durant earned enough money to buy most of the stocks from General Motors, and then in 1917, Durant was named as the General Motors President, but he didn’t accept this charge and he decided to establish Chevrolet as an independent company.
The Chevy car models included two of the most important and imposing cars in the history of the motoring: The Impala and the Corvair.
Chevrolet has had agreat influence in the motoring market for almost two decades.
Chevrolet through Latin America
Chevrolet introduce the new car model like The Blazer and S10, both were an amazing success for this company and the sales increase a lot during the first years, a few months later the raise of competitor generate a drop on the sales.; consequently Chevrolet released new car models in different countriesfor example in Brazil it release the Opel Omega, this car was cheaper than the other Chevrolet cars in the market, so the sales started to increase again.
Then, Chevrolet did a little market research in other countries like Argentina, and the most sold car in that country was the Celta (manufacture by Suzuki), so Chevrolet decided to manufacture a car with similar characteristics and launched tothe low and middle price range. As a result the sales increase.
Now, this strategy was very successful, so Chevrolet resolute to release a new car for the high price range, this car was the Avalanche. Everyone in Argentina wanted to have that car.
After this, Chevrolet opened it first factory in that country, located in Rosario (city).
Then the company started to expand to other countries inLatin America.
Nowadays, Chevrolet owns more than the 50% of the national market, because this company made an alliance with Dawoo and Suzuki, therefore Chevrolet could adapt it cars with the infrastructure and characteristics that these companies offer in their cars.

So, it seems like Chevrolet offers the same carsthan its competitors, but this is not truth.
Chevrolet is always trying to improve its technology hiring the best engineers and specialist in cars, therefore the quality of the Chevrolet vehicles has proved to be high.
