Table manners
At first, we have to taste soup or kimchi juice, and then try rice or other dishes. You must use spoon for rice and liquid foods, such as stews or soups; and usechopsticks for other foods.
At the end of the meal, you must pour sungnyung (boiled water in the rice cooker or scorched-rice tea) into the rice bowl and drink.
Visitors behavior
When youbeckon to a person, you should do so with your palm down, and then flutter your hand up and down with your fingers touching together. It is not polite to beckon with your palm up because Koreans do thatonly to dogs.
You can´t discuss Korean culture in public. Rather, you should take this topic private and make it among friends because even if you say something nice when you are out and about onhow traditions are practiced in this friendly Asian country, you will be breaking the rules of proper Korean etiquette.
