'Twas widely known
that against God's will the ghostly ravager
him[1]
To the house the warrior walked apace,
parted from peace

there streamed from his eyes
fearful flashes
Then laughed hisheart;
lusty banquet
waited his will
for the hardy hero with hand he grasped
at heart he feared,
sorrowed in soul,
God's foe sounding his grisly song,
cry of the conquered
chieftain or kingbreaker of rings
death sleep of the sword
honour mind's worth
the sea whale-road
the sea sail road
the sunsky-candle
the sun sky's jewel
