One of the reasons I would choose not to euthanize my lab, would be because euthanization is notsomething we use on people. I would consider a pet a member of the family, and most people say the same thing. However, If someone’s 90 year old grandmother had cancer, I don't they would choose to euthanizeher. I also don't believe any doctors would agree to do it. The only condition where something close to euthanization is used on humans, is when someone is on life support and requires the assistanceof a machine to stay alive. In this case, if the person is showing no signs of improvement, their families usually choose to remove the machine.
