Living in such an oppressive society which discourages the independent thinking by meeting Clarisse and Faber a turning point was produced inMontag´s life because he started his transition from ignorance to enlightenment thanks to both of them made him aware of his unhappiness and his incapacity of thinking by himself.
I First of all,Montag met Clarisse, who was a curious and spontaneous teenager among a numb society controlled by the government, that made Montag first noticed he was unhappy.

II Not only did Clarisse contribute to change Montag´s state of mind but also did Faber an English professor who gave Montag the necessary strength toseek the knowledge he needed to escape ignorance.

Enjoying Life Without Oppression
We live in a society that is immersing in thetechnological culture. Everyday we become more dependent of all the technological devices that allow us to make things easier and faster. Although, we indeed can do things faster sometimes, if not most of thetime, we forget to stop for a minute to enjoy nature, the people we love and no less important to be able to have deep thoughts that made we feel complete and happy. In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury,Guy Montag is a fireman pride of his work and apparently happy who experienced the addition to technology taking to the extremes. He lives in an oppressive society which made people believe they arehappy thanks to all the commodities technological devices offer them. They do not know books because in this society firemen burn those, that´s the way the government has to ban freethinking in orderto be able to take over the society without inconvenient.
